Someone said 21st January is the last day of the “happy new year” greetings and I better be late than to never happy New Year you and wish you all a traveling productive year. You all said we normalize appreciating good moments and mentioning them and to be honest my year is looking up fine. Health! I am healthy in all aspects of life and grateful for it. Did we achieve last year’s goals for the blog? Yes, we did! How? By staying safe and alive. Honestly, that was the goal and we made it.
I feel like I started my year on Christmas day. I set goals and prayed about them on the eve of Christmas. On life goals, I have ticked a few and on travel goals, I just ticked one by posting this post. A new year’s post.
Over the years I always did the “I hope to put up x numbers of posts monthly”, but this year I only have trip plans. Things and places to visit which by extension end up as posts for this amazing blog.
If I do nothing else this year and I manage to visit Lamu I will be a happy girl, sister, friend, and daughter. That’s all I can say about this one.
Heard the quote “solo travel not only pushes you out of your comfort zone, but it also pushes you out of the zone of others’ expectations.” By Suzy Strutner? I planned on experiencing this from bookings to finding out what to do on my own this year and thanks to the Jambojet njanuary 2021 offer this is about to happen in a few months.
If this means crossing a border for a few hours then coming back then may it be. I acquired my passport in 2018 with plans to visit Rwanda but this never happened. Since then the passport is as new as it can be. From my mouth to God’s ears. Amen.
When I say camping I mean ‘raw’ camping. To understand this check out what does a girl want. It’s the cold at 3:00 am, it’s the smoke over a bonfire (from firewood hehee) and the self-made meals. I hope to tag along 5 of my friends over a weekend. Not so far from Nairobi though.
That said share your travel goals for the year, you never know what we could do together (wink, wink).
Happy New Year readers, health, love, and peace.
ps: This post was to go up yesterday 21st but life happened, still, happy New Year
